Biography

Natalie Buckley, third child of Elaine and Chuck Buckley, was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. When she was seven, her family moved to Cranbrook, BC where she grew up playing clarinet and piano, and also sang in the school choir.

At age 16, Natalie landed her first theatre role in Beauty and the Beast as a singing, dancing spoon. After graduating high school, she attempted a year of study in General Sciences at the local college. However, realizing she has a passion for the arts, she transferred to the University of Lethbridge and found her vocation. In the course of her studies, Natalie’s love of acting grew, and she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts - Performance degree with honours in April 2013.

Since she graduated, Natalie has worked as an Artist in Residence and drama instructor with four children's theatre companies: Evergreen Theatre, Quest Theatre, StageCoach Theatre, Trickster Theatre, and Arts Commons. She has had the privilege of performing with a variety of theatre companies, with roles varying from the whimsical Smee in Peter Pan to Sarah in Sarah and the Dinosaur - the story of a young teacher coming to grips with her recent cancer diagnosis.

In June 2015, she began to seek out film/tv roles and in March 2017 she started to take on voice acting roles.

Until summer of 2020, Natalie lived in Calgary, Alberta, where she was an active member of the theatre and film scene and performed regularly. She currently resides in Vancouver, BC, with her loving partner and dog (both the best in the world!) with plans to return to performance after an extended mental health break.

Best stage entrance ever.
